The Long Island Rail Road's Montauk Branch serves Springs through East Hampton. On the winter timetable the Friday express leaves Penn Station at 4:07 PM and arrives at 6:17 PM; other trains start in Jamaica or at Hunterspoint Avenue and need a connection from Manhattan. The board lists every scheduled train; weekday and weekend patterns differ. Fares to East Hampton from Penn Station are $33.00 peak and $24.50 off-peak, or $41.00 and $33.00 bought on board, per the MTA fare chart in effect since January 4, 2026.
