Hampton Jitney: stops, schedule and fares

The Hampton Jitney runs coaches from Manhattan and Brooklyn to the South Fork, the North Fork and Westhampton. The Montauk Line fare is $43 prepaid or $51 on board, and the timetable now in effect runs through January 6, 2027.

The Jitney sells one fare per line rather than per stop, so the real decision is the line. The Montauk Line serves the South Fork from Southampton to Montauk, the Westhampton Line serves four stops in the west, and the North Fork Line goes to Greenport and Orient Point. If you are still choosing between bus and train, the Jitney vs LIRR comparison uses the same timetables.

Fares

Fares changed on June 25, 2026. The Jitney's fare table lists a prepaid internet rate and a higher pay-on-board rate, and warns that on peak days fares can rise 4 to 8 percent.

Stops

On the South Fork the directory lists eleven stops: Amagansett to Watermill in alphabetical order, with Manorville, Napeague and Springs among them. The Westhampton Line lists four. The two lists follow. Springs is in the directory but has no row on the posted Montauk Line timetable, so confirm before you plan around it.

In Manhattan the East Side pickups run from 96th Street down to 40th Street, with West Side pickups at 7th Avenue and 54th Street and at 6th Avenue and 37th Street for the Montauk Line. Brooklyn pickups are in Park Slope at 4th Avenue and 9th Street and at 4th Avenue and Union Street, in Boerum Hill at Atlantic and 4th Avenues, and in Brooklyn Heights at Tillary Street and Cadman Plaza East. The Jitney notes that its Upper East Side pickups are destination specific to reduce congestion, so the stop you can board at depends on where you are going.

Airports

The Jitney does not stop at JFK or LaGuardia. Its Queens Airport Connection stop is at 190th Street and the eastbound LIE service road in Fresh Meadows, and the Jitney advises a taxi from either airport: 15 to 20 minutes from LaGuardia, 25 to 30 from JFK. Westbound the bus drops at Main Street and the LIE service road in Flushing. For Long Island MacArthur Airport in Islip, the Jitney lists an eastbound pickup at Ronkonkoma Avenue and the LIE service road (Exit 60) one hour and five minutes after the bus leaves 40th Street. Eastbound Islip pickups need a reservation, and you call the Jitney when you land. Details are on the JFK and LaGuardia route pages.

When the schedule changes

The Jitney issues a new timetable several times a year. In 2026 it published a winter timetable effective January 8, a summer timetable effective June 25, and the current one effective October 15 through January 6, 2027. Check the date range on the official schedule viewer before you buy, and note that some trips on the current timetable are date-limited.

The Jitney's phone line for schedule and reservation questions is 631-283-4600.
