South Fork Commuter Connection

The South Fork Commuter Connection adds a few short LIRR trains east of Speonk for people traveling within the South Fork, not to or from the city.

Fares and schedules checked October 2026.

MTA describes the service on its Montauk Branch page as additional service east of Speonk for customers traveling intra-branch on the South Fork, and warns that these trains do not connect to trains that originate or terminate at western terminals. For anyone commuting to the city, the through trains on the Montauk Branch are the ones that matter.
