Montauk to Block Island ferry

Viking Fleet's high-speed ferry takes 1 hour 15 minutes from Montauk Harbor to Block Island, and its 2026 season ran April 10 to October 19.

Fares and schedules checked October 2026.

The service is passenger-only and seasonal, so it is closed now. The operator's 2026 fares, which show how the 2027 season may price, were $45 for adults 13 and older and $30 for children 5 to 12, one way online, with $5 for a surfboard or a bike. Parking at the dock was $15 a day and the operator says reservations are highly recommended. The dock is at 462 West Lake Drive in Montauk Harbor, a stop on the way if you arrive by Jitney or train.

  • No cars: Viking takes passengers, bicycles and surfboards only. Montauk's town guide covers the harbor and the station.
  • SCT On-Demand's East Hampton zone covers Montauk and is a low-cost way from the station to the harbor.

The 2027 schedule and fares were not posted when this page was checked. The operator publishes them each spring. The other East End ferries are on the ferries index.
