East Hampton Airport (HTO)
East Hampton Town Airport sits at the edge of Wainscott. AirNav, drawing on FAA records, lists it as publicly owned and open to the public, with a control tower, two asphalt runways and landing fees.
Fares and schedules checked October 2026.
It is the airport most associated with Hamptons helicopters and seaplanes, and also the focus of the area's aircraft noise debate. AirNav's own notes tell pilots to check the airport website for current usage, rules and noise abatement procedures before arrival, which is the right advice for passengers too. The Blade page explains how air service is sold.

Getting to and from the airport
The airport is a short drive from the Jitney's Wainscott stop and from East Hampton Village. Wainscott has a Jitney stop but no LIRR station; East Hampton has both and is the nearest station. SCT's East Hampton On-Demand zone does not name Wainscott, so line up a taxi or a pickup.
Aircraft noise is a continuing local issue; the East Hampton Star reported in April 2026 on helicopter-related noise complaints. If you are planning around a flight, check the airport's current procedures and the operator's rules for your trip.
